How much does a plumber cost in Marbella and Mijas?
A standard call-out with the first hour of work is €121, including 21% IVA. After that first hour it's €84.70 an hour, charged in half hours. Saturday and Sunday work is €175.45 for the call-out and first hour. Anything urgent is €242, whatever the day.

Why there's a call-out fee at all
The call-out covers getting to you and working out what's wrong. On this coast that can mean half an hour of driving before anyone touches a tap. Mine is €36.30 in standard hours, and it's already inside the €121 above rather than added on top. If the job takes fifteen minutes, you still pay for the hour. That's normal here, and any plumber who tells you otherwise is making it up somewhere else in the bill.
What pushes a price up
Three things, mostly. Time, because after the first hour the clock runs in half hours. Parts, which carry a handling charge that covers sourcing them, fetching them and the warranty on what goes in. And when you call: weekends have their own rate, and genuinely urgent work is charged at the emergency rate whatever day it lands on.
What doesn't push it up is finding something awkward once I've started. You get the price before I begin, and if the job turns out to be bigger than it looked, we talk about it then rather than at the end.
Rough costs for common jobs
A dripping tap or a running toilet usually falls inside the first hour, so €121. A blocked sink or drain normally takes one to two hours, which works out at roughly €121 to €205.70. A new electric water heater starts from around €300 plus parts, depending on the model. A full bathroom gets a fixed quote after I've seen the room, because guessing at that one helps nobody.
Those are guides, not quotes. The pricing page has every rate, including the ones for holiday lets and commercial work, which sit a little above and a little further above these.
The bits people forget to ask about
IVA: every figure on this site already includes the 21%, so the number you read is the number you pay. Cancellations: if you call it off with less than a day's notice, or nobody can let me in when I arrive, there's a €60.50 fee for homes. And the guarantee: my labour is covered for 12 months, with the manufacturer's warranty on any part I fit.
Getting a price you can trust
Ask for the figure with IVA included, and ask whether the call-out is inside it or on top. Two quotes that look miles apart are often the same money once you add the tax to one of them. If you want to go further before you hire anyone, there's a short guide on checking a plumber is legitimate.
